Coffin’s motor driven model DE boiler feed pump features a state of the art high speed motor and variable frequency drive (VFD) control. The unit is assembled on a common base plate and coupled using a balanced high speed coupling. The pump was connected to Coffin’s in house boiler plant and performance tested at speeds of 6,500, 7,500 and 8,500 rpm. This complete unit is rated at 350 kw (motor rated up to 500 kw). It is capable of flows out to 650 gpm (148 m3/hr) and pressures up to 900 psi (62 bar) and features a combined lube system between the pump and motor. The pump is designed to Coffin Turbo Pump’s usual high standards and provides efficient, high pressure performance in a package a fraction of the weight and size as competing technology.
